July 10-12 2024
ABOUT THE EVENT
Wingsuit Race In The Dolomites
The Pordoi BASE Race is a competitive wingsuit race with 16 of the worlds top wingsuit athletes, racing against each other to become the fastest in the world, held
at Sass Pordoi in the Dolomites, Italy.
Racers will jump from the top of the mountain, fly as fast as they can across the ground to the finish line, and deploy their parachutes to land safely.
Spectators will have access to viewing areas at the exit point, as well as along the sides of the landing area.
After 5 elimination rounds, a winner will be declared, and a prize pool will be awarded to the top 3 finishers.
HOW IT WORKS
Wingsuit Racing
Racers are scored using a GPS tracker called a flysight, measuring their position 5 times per second. They jump after an audible countdown, and fly as fast as they can until they cross the finish line. Racers must open their parachutes high enough to have a minimum of 30 seconds under parachute, or face a penalty. Some of the best pilots will be reaching speeds around 270 kph.
